Accessing a second sunedio.db 4 Years, 4 Months ago
Hello,
My organisation is a group of hospitals scattered over the country. If each hospital is managed through a LAN running suneido, can the central office access the different hospital suneido dbs through some kind of a network? Note that the distances are 1000s of kms.
I almost know that the answer is NO. If so can pre-programmed information be sent from the periphery to the center? I am about to try the email processing program, but still your expert advice is being sought.
Thanks,
ajith

There is no easy way to access other Suneido databases directly. You could use a SocketClient and connect to a database and use the low level database commands to access the database. This is probably more work than you would want to do. You could try exporting or Dump'ing tables and then use FTP to transfer the data which could then either be imported or loaded into the database. Email could work too but would probably be less reliable than FTP for transferring large amounts of data.

check out:

Virtual LAN over any kind of internet connection...
Worked for me in three towns 50km away from each other... If internet connections are fast and of good quality...

But that was for simple bussines app. I dont know if I would trust this enough to run some Hospitals app... ?
