Chromium Embedded 3 Months, 2 Weeks ago
We have been running into some issues with using the Internet Explorer browser component. For example, security warnings and settings shared with IE.

So I have been looking for an alternative. There is an Mozilla ActiveX Control that even has the same interface as IE, but it is an old, dead project. And it also requires installation (registry changes) which is a problem for us. (Some users do not have the ability to install software.)

The best option I have found so far is Chromium Embedded

code.google.com/p/chromiumembedded/

It has a different interface, but it looks like it might not be too hard to use. It does not require installation. And it even supports custom schemes/protocols like the current suneido: It is fairly large, I am not sure what the minimum files are, but it looks like it might be 20 mb or more. I guess size is becoming less of an issue.

If anyone wants to play around with this, I would be happy to hear the results.

Or if you have another alternate suggestion?
