Run Error Message 4 Years, 6 Months ago
Hi
Will someone please tell me what the following error
message means? TIA

Run: run all failed! ~uninitialized member:0~

code that produced it is:
The code ran and worked fine as far as I could tell.

//TestMenuTwo

Window(Controller
{
Controls: (Vert (Static 'Enter unit number')
Field
(Button Number)
)
On_Number()
{ Alert("Unit number is " $ .Vert.Field.Get())
}})

That code runs fine from the WorkSpace. But the error you are getting indicates you are running it from LibraryView. If you are putting this code in your library, you need to remove the Window() part.

Code in libraries needs to be "constants" e.g. strings, numbers, functions, classes, or objects. (Your code defines a class.)

To run from the WorkSpace, you need to do something with the class e.g. pass it to Window. Many of the examples are written to run from the WorkSpace.

Hope that helps!

Hi Andrew!
Thanks for your response.
Workspace examples-- maybe that's part of the problem I'm having getting things to work. All is my code is written to run from the library. I never use the workspace. But I do copy the code from examples from the manual, etc. And all I get is error messages.

Will keep trying........have a long way to go.
Again, thanks for your help.
